Culinary Water Pipeline Construction Underway
Weber Basin Water Conservancy District (WBWCD) has begun installation of a new 36-inch culinary water pipeline in east Layton between Canyon View Drive and Highway 89 near Country Oaks Drive. Substantial project completion is expected by fall 2014.
This pipeline will become part of the WBWCD’s culinary water distribution system, servicing cities and communities along the Highway 89 corridor in Davis County from its Davis North Water Treatment Plant to Farmington. The purpose of the project is to increase existing capacity and to provide a redundant pipeline to supplement the existing pipeline, which is aging and in need of frequent repair.
